Who We AreSouthbury
Junior Women’s Club, Inc. is a group of women with different backgrounds and
varied interests who combine their time, talents and energy for the purpose of
providing goods and services to enrich our community. SJWC
is open to all women (eighteen and up) who want to promote the goals of the
club. Each member is requested to
actively support a committee of her choice, attend monthly meetings and help
with major fund-raising projects. The
annual dues are twenty-five ($25) dollars. Some
past projects include, planting flowers at the Berry Farm ball fields, stuffing
back-packs for less fortunate Southbury school kids, donations to the Fuel Bank
and Southbury Needy Fund, annual high school scholarships, Time For Life, an
organization that supports families of children with a life threatening
sickness. We have hosted dinner
dances, fashion shows, bingo at STS & art auctions and we participate in
local bake sales and craft shows. We encourage good works within our community as well as
foster friendships among our members. SJWC generally meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Southbury Parks & Recreation Dept. If
you require further information or have any questions at all, please feel free
to contact us.
